OUR MISSION
Houses, not features. Families, not users.
Apply serious engineering culture to the global housing crisis, in service of the institutions and communities already doing the work.
Over 1.6 billion people live in inadequate housing. Roughly 100 million have no shelter at all. By 2030 the world needs another three billion homes. The scale doesn’t admit a clever app or a flashy nonprofit — it demands the same engineering discipline that built the cathedrals, the railroads, and the iPhone, but pointed at a fundamentally moral problem.
We believe technology, humility, and local partnership beat any one of them alone. The communities and ministries doing the work know far more about it than we do. Our job is to bring the missing technical layer — precise maps, generative design, fabrication automation, open tooling — and to share it back.
Solve Housing is the philanthropic arm of a parent company that builds professional design technology for working architects. We don’t maintain a watered-down charitable fork. The same intelligent layer that powers billion-dollar projects works on a thirty-thousand-dollar one.
The dignity principle holds throughout: the people who live in inadequate housing today are the builders of their own future, not recipients of ours.
Security of tenure and pride of home ownership translates to improved family conditions, and ensures a better life for generations.FOUNDING PRINCIPLE
WHO WE WORK FOR
Families. Not user personas.
Every line of code we ship eventually has a name on it — a grandmother, a toddler, a porch built to last her grandchildren’s grandchildren. The work resolves to people. We design like it does.
Be part of solving it.
Donate. Partner. Build with us. Contribute data. Speak for the work.
